C.E.N.O. (Creative Expressions New Orleans)

Crossroads is committed to developing the musical, theatrical and artistic talents of its clients. For example, we strive to teach, mentor, and support the artistic talents of adults with  disabilities in a studio environment where they create original works  to be showcased.

Currently we hold art classes twice weekly that provide individualized guidance for each artist to explore their own mediums and artistic direction. All of our current artists have a developmental disability and attend our Day Program at Crossroads Louisiana, Inc.

Crossroads LA is proud to announce

Celebrating the value and diversity of artistic expression!

CENO artists completed the artist sign-up process to display art work on the Artlifting website.  The artist profiles will be introduced to the site when completed.  We will introduce two new artists and their art work in the upcoming months.

We are excited that Megan, one of the staff members at Artlifting, will visit Crossroads' CENO art studio and artists on March 24, 2016.

Remember to check out the Artlifting website for more information: http://www.artlifting.com

We provide artists with developmental disabilities the resources to create, exhibit and sell their art.

Our regular schedule for art classes has resumed.  Classes will be held the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.  Local artist Louise Mouton-Johnson will instruct classes on the second Saturday of each month with art instructor Jean Hood.  Classes are held 10:00 am-12:00 p.m.at the Job Link Vocational Center located at 3727 General DeGaulle Drive, New Orleans, LA 70114.

Richard Brown, our grant writer, has started the process to reapply to the Arts Council of New Orleans grant for the 2016-2017 period.

CENO art work shows at locations listed below:

St. Charles Parish Library, 160 West Campus Drive, Destrehan, LA 70047

Vega Tapas Café located at 2051 Metairie Road, Metairie, LA 70006.

The Steele Gallery, Safe Haven for the Arts Foundation is relocating to a new fabulous gallery soon.  CENO art will be featured in this new space, and we are very excited!
